~ like ~ Girl with 7 Horses by Ulrika Kestere

haven't been able to post for the past two days  (゚д゚lll)

today,
something inspiring to share on a black friday (but it never bothers me anyway hehe ♪♪)


ok, so...
just a little introduction - Ulrika Kestere, a young photographer/illustrator from Sweden (now i wonder why i'm always drawn to Sweden artists..?) (つд`)
she has got her own blog where she shared her works, inspirations, and life.

 ....... ....... .......

it was the number from the title that attracted me at first (seven is my favorite number)
so i clicked on it out of curiosity
and wow (i can't express more)
such beautiful striking images...

girl with 7 horses is a series of photo project from october 2011 to january 2012

as quoted ; “I shot the first horse photo in early autumn last year and on my way home the story about the girl and her seven horses just came to me.”


first finding: October 23th




the story she refers to goes like this:
... " Once upon a time there was a girl who had seven invisible horses. People thought she was crazy and that she, in fact, had seven imaginary horses, but this was not the case. When autumn came, the girl spent a whole day washing all her clothes.She hung them on a string in her garden to let the gentle autumn sun dry them. Out of nowhere, a terrible storm came and its forceful winds grabbed a hold of all her clothes and all seven horses (since they are invisible they obviously didn’t weigh much). The girl was devastated and spent all autumn looking for each horse spread around the country, wrapped in her clothes. " ...

i have always love conceptual themes which are then exploited into designs or ideas.

and indeed, the idea and story behind this project is so remarkable and original.
